“I am writing regarding our stay at the Old Mine House during the May Day bank holiday weekend. I would like to thank you, on behalf of our whole group, as we had a fantastic time. The house was truly wonderful, and the setting was idyllic. It was superb to walk on to the tors of Dartmoor in the morning…..the sauna worked a treat……..and we were all impressed with the guinea-fowl eggs you left us……if ever I am again faced with the prospect of having to organise a weekend away for 20 people, the Old Mine House will be top of the list.” James D – Nottingham . |
“Just a few words to say how much we enjoyed our stay at the Old Mine House in the beautiful Dartmoor countryside. It definitely made an impression on the children who would not mind taking it all in again. While shopping at the Pannier Market in Tavistock I bought a lovely looking goose (statue) which sits just outside my kitchen door and I greet it every morning with its given name ‘Mr Robinson', so we always remember our stay.” Mrs. K. – London . |

“Everyone had a fantastic weekend…….the guinea fowl, geese and goats were great – and I think everyone had a go at feeding them. The house was perfect – lovely and warm, plenty of room, but cosy. We particularly enjoyed playing board games by the open fire (with a glass of wine, of course!) I think everyone is keen to do a similar thing again – and we'll certainly be thinking of returning to the Old Mine House – we'll spread the word!” Kathy O'B. Cardiff . Thanks for accommodating us all...we had a wonderful time and the Mine House certainly fulfilled the needs of our party. We have many wonderful photographs that capture the occasion and you'll be sure to hear from us again...Dr. John N-P. Sheffield. We all enjoyed our stay at the Old Mine House especially the grandchildren, who loved the tree house, which was well used. We'll visit again sometime in the future. Eeva P. Woodstock Thankyou for our wonderful stay at your Devon house...Watching the badgers was particularly rewarding and a magical experience. I had a very relaxing holiday and one day hope to return in search of more peace. Dudley B. Legislative Council, Isle of Man. What a fantastic house you have, and what a great host you were. A brilliant time was had by all. My sincere thanks. Justin M. London After the city, past guests say staying at the Old Mine House is timeless, a rustic escape, with one recently commenting that "it was like stepping back into a Thomas Hardy novel." |
